Mr. Lepage practises in the fields of labour law, administrative law, litigation and governance for public and parapublic institutions and private companies. In administrative law and litigation, Mr. Lepage represents private companies before the courts of general jurisdiction, such as the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal, in all types of disputes relating to the application of the laws and regulations applicable to them, and the responsibilities arising therefrom.
With regard to labour relations, Mr. Lepage practices exclusively on behalf of employers.
He is also involved in the negotiation of collective agreements, either as a spokesperson or as external legal counsel. He also practices a significant part of his profession in labour law, dealing with all aspects of union accreditation, including business transfers and determining the scope of accreditation certificates.
In particular, Mr. Lepage has represented governments on the constitutionality of laws that may infringe on the right of association.
Mr. Lepage also intervenes before the Tribunal administratif du travail and higher courts in all disputes related to labour disputes, strikes or lockouts, and in particular in the determination of essential services applicable to certain public and parapublic enterprises. Mr. Lepage's mandates have led him to represent his clients before specialized tribunals, arbitrators and administrative tribunals, as well as before the ordinary courts of all jurisdictions, including the Superior Court, the Federal Court, the Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Thanks to his vast experience, Mr. Lepage has also been called upon to act as mediator in major disputes in the public education and health sectors.
